Day 8 - Huillca and Yanacon Pass

Today we descended out of the Tayapampa Valley by following an old vehicle track. The valley ran into a much broader valley at the tiny hamlet of Huillca which consisted of only 4 houses. Then we climbed up over the steep Yanacon pass, which took us into a valley of forest and pasture.

		Here is Huillca, which is a locality comprising 4 houses like this one in an open pampa . We would cross this pampa and climb the valley that can be seen behind the house in this photo.
		The climb up the Yanacon pass was steep and rocky, although near the top there was a trail that could be followed.
		Here is Kendy on the trail near the top of the pass.
		On the other side of the pass we entered a valley of forest and pasture. We camped a little further downstream.
