Day 4 - Lake Cullicocha to Alpamayo Valley via Osoruri (4860m)

From Lake Cullicocha we crossed a pass called Osoruri, which at 4860m is the highest pass on the standard route we were following. From here there were great views back down to the lake we had camped at the night before. The track then sidled down into the Alpamayo Valley. Here the weather worsened again, and we chose a sheltered camp site near the valley floor some distance upstream from the Ruina Pampa.

		Great views of Lake Cullicocha and Santa Cruz from near the Osoruri pass. We climbed a peak near this pass to gain these views. This photo is taken from an altitude of approximately 4950m.
		The track then sidled down into the Alpamayo valley. We walked up the valley depicted in this photo and camped not far from where the valley disappears from sight around the corner.
		Here is our tent site on the night of 10 July.
