Day 4 - Laguna Mitococha to Carhuacocha

Today we trekked to Carhuacocha, a beautiful lake where we would camp for 2 nights. Getting there involved crossing a pass called Yanapunta Pass (4640m). This was a gentler pass than yesterday, with expansive mountain views and beautiful weather.

We descend open grassy vales until suddenly the vista of Laguna Carhuacocha opens out before us. We have lunch here admiring this fantastic view. |
