On day two
After a nice hot brew
We explored a deep rock defile.
There was no need for rope
It was just a steep slope
Yet we carried one all the while.
On Day 2 we continued exploring this previously unexplored creek system and although it contained no canyon it contained some beautiful rainforest gorge. We explored a steep and spectacular looking defile that we had seen the previous year, expecting that it would contain some steep drops requiring rope. But in fact we discovered that it was no more than a steep rainforest gully and we descended it easily, gaining access to another creek system which we explored further.
