Day 2 - 25 Jan 2009 - Kalang Falls
Kalang Falls is a spectacular creek with many waterfalls and long abseils. There are about 9 abseils in total, and two of these are about 60m long. Most of the remaining abseils are over 30m.
With a group of 6 people a great day was spent abseiling these waterfalls. At the bottom we relaxed in a pool in Kanangra Creek before tackling the hot climb up the aptly named Murdering Gully.
Party: Steph Compton, Tom Gleeson, Liz Loane, Peter Raines, Jessica Trevena, Ashley Burke

While we waited for another group to descend the second last and longest abseil of all, we snatch a quick lunch by this beautiful rock pool. |
