MountainSphere Adventures | Navigation Weekend 2-3 Apr 2022

Something very strange happened on this navigation weekend – it stopped raining! 7 enthusiastic clients attended early on a cool and windy morning, autumn had arrived! Apart from the occasional very light shower, the rain held off for the whole weekend. After our morning nav session at Bell we set off on our walk and soon were enjoying our lunch with panoramic views of the surrounding areas. Clients learned how to use the mirrors on their compasses to take sightings, and after lunch navigated their way through the complex terrain to our sheltered campsite. We enjoyed a beautiful evening where the stars came out and sugar gliders were seen jumping from tree to tree. Next day was windy but clear with blue skies and spectacular scenery. We enjoyed a full day of walking both off trail and on trail and learned new skills along the way. We had lunch in the sun before doing some final navigation work to return to Bell. A fantastic group of people and a great weekend had by all.
