On the weekend of 19-20 Sep 2015 I took a small group from SUBW to the Red Rocks near Newnes in the Wolgan Valley. Despite some cloud and occasional light rain the views were superb and a great weekend was had by all.

| Fri 18 Sep 2015 | In the evening we drove to Newnes and established a camp. |
| Sat 19 Sep 2015 | Climbed out of the Wolgan valley and followed a ridge of delicate rock formations to reach Mt Dawson where we had lunch. Continued north along the Red Rocks and camped near Ross' Knob. |
| Sun 20 Sep 2015 | Continued along the Red Rocks as far as The Room, then after a rest on The Balcony we retraced our steps a short distance before heading down Little Capertee Creek to return to Newnes. |
