Claustral Canyon is one of the most popular and well known canyons in the Blue Mountains. And for good reason. It is one of the deepest, longest and most beautiful sandstone canyons of all. It has 3 exciting but easy abseils, lots of beautiful gorge above and below the canyon and an interesting scramble out. It has several pools that need to be swum through, a few of them quite long. As an added bonus it is one of the closest canyons to Sydney. It is a perfect day out for a hot summer's day.

These photos were taken on a trip down Claustral Canyon on 21 Mar 2010.

Party: Ashley Burke, Joan Chan, Mariscristina Merlo, Stephen Sheehan, Katerina Rnic, Tony Ruzek
